The first use of the time management software is to simply program the countdown for 30 minutes. During that 30 minutes, you'll want to devote that entire time strictly to one task.

If you're writing on the computer, spend 30 minutes on the specific task. No more and No less. Allow no distractions.

If you're cleaning your house, spend 30 minutes on cleaning the house. Same thing. No distractions.

If you're not able to finish the task within the 30 minutes, that's fine.
Come back to it later, but I think you'll find yourself being more effective and organized by giving yourself a time limit.
