Here's another article today on the power of the subconscious mind.

It seems more and more scientific studies are acknowledging the power of the subconscious mind over subjective AND objective reality. While this article talks about hypnosis and self-hypnosis for pain reduction, those who have studied the power of affirmations, hypnosis, meditation, etc have known about this "new found" fact for centuries now.

Also the esteemed Dr. Spiegel claims not everyone can be "hypnotized." That's simple not true. Everyone goes through a form of hypnosis everytime they watch tv, or work on a computer, or drive a car. While very few people will allow themselve to be hypnotized to a degree that allows them to start clucking like a chicken in front of a thousand people, one can train themselves to go into altered states with a simple "trigger" word or action if they train to.
