Inspirational Quotes - Women without Superstition

One and all, religions have their original prophets,
their sacred books, their traditions of ages gone.
One and all require us to accept without question
what other people long dead have said or written;
to obey without question the commands of those behind us….

No matter what the belief, if it had modestly said,
“This is our best thought, go on, think farther!”
then we could have smoothly outgrown our early errors
and long since have developed a religion
such as would have kept pace with an advancing world.
But we were made to believe and not allowed to think.
We were told to obey, rather than to experiment and investigate.

    Inspirational Quotes - Miester Eckhart on God and Losing Faith

    To be sure, our mental processes often go wrong,
    so that we imagine God to have gone away.
    What should be done then?
    Do exactly what you would do if you felt most secure.
    Learn to behave thus even in deepest distress
    and keep yourself that way in any and every estate of life.
    I can give you no better advice than to find God where you lost him

    Great Thanksgiving Quote

    Great Thanksgiving Quote

    Thanksgiving is the holiday of peace,
    the celebration of work and the simple life…
    a true folk-festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the seasons,
    the beauty of seedtime and harvest,
    the ripe product of the year -
    and the deep, deep connection of all these things with God.

    Happy Thanksgivings!

    Poems on Kindness

    Have you had a kindness shown?
    Pass it on;
    ‘Twas not given for thee alone,
    Pass it on;
    Let it travel down the years,
    Let it wipe another’s tears,
    Till in Heaven the deed appears,
    Pass it on.
