How to Find a Good Mentor

Roy Thomsitt says "Let Change Be Your Mentor" and I agree.

Everything can and should be used as a learning tool. However....

The "School of Hard Knocks" is usually the slowest, most painful, but often the most effective for most of us.

Why?

Because during those times of deep pain, Life forces you to become introspective and learn your "life lessons" and either learn from them or continue to repeat them.

The value of the mentor truly lies in the "been there, done that" factor.

You can easily side-step those pitfalls, and unnecessary "School of Hard Knocks" detours if allow yourself to be open and simply follow in your mentor's footsteps.

Until you are well enough established on your own two feet, a mentor simply makes the way easier and quicker with the benefit of not repeating the same mistakes the mentor has already been through.
