I always enjoy getting a response from a reader. This e-mail was sent to me in response to my "How to Triple Your Productivity" Articles. ( These article was a brief overview of the Concentration Guides.)

I read your productivity page.

I was appalled.

Never trust anyone who writes or speaks for 15 minutes and never mentions "love" or "heart" at least once.

The secret of productivity is to put your HEART into it and not perseverance as a discipline. The military ruined my dad, and grandfather, no one liked them much after boot camp. Our corporations do the same to peoples minds, you can always tell the jerks, they wear black shoes.

The secret of productivity is BELIEF and Promise... "Love what you do and do what you love!"

You can't make anyone do what they don't want to do, you can't even pay them to put their soul in it.

You will not turn me into an American Commodity worker ROBOT ! If an employer was efficiency it won't be me.

As a meditation teacher and Guide, I say...

"you do not HAVE to meditate, why don't you want to?"

Abundance Secrets' Response

Dear Doug,

I'm a little disappointed by your letter. It seems my
"productivity article" struck a nerve with you and you have
jumped to quite a many assumptions...but I do appreciate
your feedback.

As a meditation teacher, you are sure to understand the
value of concentration.... one only develops the necessary
concentration to TRULY meditate properly though DISCIPLINE
and love...

It seems because you grew up in an environment where
discipline was forced upon you, you view ALL discipline as a
bad thing. SELF-discipline is ALWAYS necessary and good to
advance in any endeavor especially for spiritual growth.

Meditation was developed and is STILL primarily used to
discipline the Mind... in order to see though the
"illusions" that the world presents us that actually STOP
us from loving.

Without the SELF-discipline of continually keeping our
thoughts, feelings, and actions focused on love, one can
never achieve the necessary skills to see love in everyone
and everything. I think perhaps you should check out my

...and be "disciplined" enough to read through all the
posts and see the bigger picture from the loving
perspective of objectivity.

I don't need to "Believe" in gravity. I can know that it
is real and true by it's infalliable application in every
situation. Just as I do not need to "believe" in the
goodness and benefit of SELF-discipline and more
importantly the actions of selfless love on myself and the
world around me.

The great paradox of life is that everyone DOES
exactly what they WANT anyways. (Check out my articles on
"wanting") No matter how much I or your dad, or
grandfather, or corporations pressure someone to do
something, in the end, everyone ultimately has free will
and will do what they WANT. The choices may often be
limited by our individual situations but there is ALWAYS a
choice.

What one finds as they use SELF-discipline to control their
thoughts, feelings, and actions is that eventually one is
ALWAYS creating their outer experience in some form.
This is the master "key" to always HAVING what we want
instead of always WANTING what we don't have.
