Guide to Concentration Part IV.

This week's concentration-builder is simple yet powerful. Note: I said simple...but it may not be easy. But if you are intent on developing an iron-clad concentration and focus, then spend 5 minutes each day on this one and watch your life change by this time next week.

You'll probably need to turn off the t.v...stop groaning :) ... and send the kids and spouse out of the room to get the full benefit of this concentration-builder, but it also can be done anytime. First, a quote by Theron Q Dumont about concentration

"Concentrate Upon Your Ideals and They Will Become Material
Actualities. Through concentration we work out our ideals in
physical life. Your future depends upon the ideals you are
forming now. Your past ideals are determining your present.
Therefore, if you want a bright future, you must begin to prepare
for it today."

First, focus on your breathing. Now starting from 100 and counting down to 0, you'll count each inhale and exhale to yourself. IE... inhale..exhale...100, inhale...exhale...99, inhale...exhale...98,etc. That's it!

The first few days you may find your mind wandering all over the place, losing count, thinking of events of the day. If so, you have to start all over at 100 and begin again. By day 4 or 5, you should be able to get close to doing the whole countdown with some effort. By day 7, you'll find your concentration extremely focused and a new sense of relaxation and peace of mind as you go about your day.

Remember, developing your concentration is the easy way to develop your unstoppable will power, consistency, and perseverance.
